As a leader in Minneapolis digital marketing, we’re not strangers to innovating for our clients in areas like responsive web design, local search, and email marketing. Every once in awhile we also find opportunities to innovate in disciplines outside of our core capabilities. A few months ago, our Quality & Process Manager, Scott Storlie identified such an opportunity and took on the challenge of enhancing our project management process through our QuickBase applications. In classic “Spyder Trapper” fashion, he vastly exceeded expectations. His results and innovative approach even earned him a speaking appearance at this year’s Inuit QuickBase Empower 2015 Conference.

The Journey to #Empower2015

Getting invited to speak at a national conference doesn’t happen overnight. Scott identified a potential area of improvement for Spyder Trap after discovering a data integration gap. Scott began mapping out a solution and was fortunate enough to gain access to a beta version of QuickBase Sync, which provided the foundation for Scott to adjust and build upon. He has been integral in helping to develop the finalized feature for Intuit, while at the same time making Spyder Trap more efficient by integrating its project management and accounting systems. He estimates that the enhancement will save 252 hours over the year. With that kind of impact, it is no surprise Intuit wants Scott to share his insights with a national audience.
