The Minnesota Business Magazine just announced their list of the top 100 best companies to work for and we’re honored to be included for the fourth year in a row. Just as exciting is that our clients, Proto Labs and AgMotion, made the list too! We’re truly proud to be a small part of the impressive business community that exists here in the Twin Cities and Minnesota as a whole.
The magazine has their own reasons and requirements for inclusion on the list, but our CEO, Mike Rynchek, has shared his own thoughts with all of us Spyder Trappers in the following email earlier today:
Good morning,
For the fourth consecutive year in a row I would like to extend my congratulations to the entire Spyder Trap team for being a Minnesota Business Magazine 2015 100 Best Companies to Work honoree. I tell clients on a daily basis that our people are our product, which is true, but our people also define our culture.
Hard Work and Culture Drive Spyder Trap
Culture to me is a complete ecosystem including many different variables and elements. We invest heavily in building a top caliber culture, competitive with or exceeding other work environments in the country. I wanted to take a second to recap some of the reasons why I think for over half of our existence as a company we have been an honoree. Here are a few:
- We have AMAZING people – Anyone who has sat in on an interview knows just how important culture is to our company.
- Our office – We have all contributed to our physical environment in some way. Patio BBQ’s, town halls, alternative work areas, etc.
- The work we do – Personally, I think one of the biggest contributors to our culture is producing amazing work!
- Learning – It’s all around us, and it never stops.
- Transparency – We can’t grow and improve unless we know what we are doing right and also where we can improve.
- Benefits – Health insurance, flextime, snow days…the list goes on.
Let me close by saying culture is something that evolves over time. As a company if we like where our culture is going, let’s support it, let’s strengthen it. If not, let’s also work as a collective to course correct. I can tell you personally that one of my goals is to focus on improving my work/life balance. Our business model is one that, in order to grow we need to stay busy but better planning, proposals and process will help to balance that workload.
Thank you again for your continued dedication to Spyder Trap and our clients. Once again CONGRATULATIONS!
~ Mike
