I have a Google Voice extension for Chrome (Rockmelt). I can input a number, but can't call using Google Talk unless I have Gmail open. How lame is that?

The voice recognition feature of Google Search and Google Mobile are pretty cool. I imagine having your iPad on the fridge and you can just prompt it to search by yelling or something. Then the question is, how do you get the browser open to Google without touching it?

Should have clarified. By accessibility I meant accessibility for people w/ disabilities. Many of the best features never see public light because they're still targeted at those w/ disabilities when I think they're applicable and useful to a larger audience.

Perry - I would agree up to the point of accessibility... I think it brings greater accessibility (When applied correctly.)

Jim - Yeah that first sentence sucked. We are working to correct it. I was referencing Google voice specifically but was also implying some of the components found in Google Voice. I agree, love the technology unfortunately awesome technology does not always equal great application or implementation.

In some respects we're already there. The iPhone and XBox Kinnect's voice recognition and interaction features are surprisingly sophisticated and in my opinion, wrongly still associated w/ accessibility.

I'm a bit confused. Are you relating Google Voice to their voice recognition feature of Google Search? Google Voice and Google Talk are two very useful, but unbelievably frustrating Google services. Seriously, can't they integrate a bit better or at all?
