SENIOR CLIENT STRATEGIST

SENIOR CLIENT STRATEGIST

Spyder Trap, Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Client Strategist to join our fast growing digital agency.

The Senior Client Strategist will work with the Sales Team to identify and help develop strategic partnerships with existing clients by identifying new opportunities. This position will manage new opportunities from lead generation through project discovery/kickoff, and will work in conjunction with Project Managers to ensure that all projects are being completed on time, within budget, and that the project meets client expectations.

Required skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education or demonstrated past success in comparable sales position
  • Experience in consultative selling
  • Track record of achieving sales results
  • Problem-solving skills, related to customer service & technical difficulties
  • Strong background of knowledge in online/mobile marketing, client side digital marketing, or digital agency
  • 3 - 4 years of experience providing digital marketing solutions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Involvement in networking groups and industry associations

Job Duties:

  • Consult, advise, and develop new opportunities with existing clients for web design, development, e-commerce, online communication, search marketing, email marketing, social media, and mobile services
  • Create and propose digital marketing recommendations that best suit clients’ needs strategically and tactically
  • Work with internal teams to develop detailed proposals and other sales-related presentations as needed
  • Identify, pitch, and close new business accounts
  • Achieve monthly and annual sales goals
  • Maintain a deep understanding of rapid industry advancements, insight, platforms, news, and opportunities to ensure industry expertise and advise
  • Build, manage, and track sales funnels, forecasts, and account activity
  • Be actively involved in industry events, associations, educational events, social media, and business networking opportunities
  • Assist other business development team members with developing team and individual sales strategies and lead generation approaches

Content Strategist

Content Strategist

Spyder Trap is seeking an experienced Content Strategist to join our fast growing digital agency.

The ideal candidate will enjoy solving problems, taking on challenges and be able to work both in a team and individual environment. 


Required skills and experience:

  • Three plus years of digital content strategy experience in a client-facing, strategic planning role
  • Experience designing, defining, developing and launching both small-scale and large-scale digital projects on a variety of platforms
  • Bachelor degree in English, Journalism or related field
  • Strong communication skills and ability to communicate complex content processes, standards and best practices to clients
  • Superior knowledge of digital best practices, including both technical applications and digital content strategies and tactics
  • Understanding of usability best practices
  • Strong public speaking, presentation and writing skills
  • Expert-level knowledge of Microsoft suite
  • Ability to manage multiple projects across several internal departments
  • Strong organization and time management skills

Job duties will include:

  • Client-facing strategic digital planning for clients in many industries
  • Assess client business situations and formulate strategic points of view on digital opportunities
  • Develop the vision/roadmap/plan for each client’s content needs
  • Identify the audience, the amount and the type of content
  • Successfully produce content strategy deliverables including key findings, recommendations, editorial guidelines, content calendars, etc
  • Lead internal and client-facing strategic collaborations
  • Understand and apply emerging digital practices when relevant
  • Lead cross-practice internal teams on multiple projects
  • Apply SEO best practices, incorporating keywords and meta tags to increase SERP ranking

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment handling several ongoing tasks and projects

Job Duties:

SEO & Paid Search :

  • Have a deep understanding and insatiable passion for SEO, SEM, and social media
  • Working knowledge of various coding languages including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP and popular content management systems
  • Be familiar with inbound marketing and sales platforms such as HubSpot, Unbounce and Marketo
  • Have experience in creation & testing of A/B landing pages and CTAs
  • Oversee set up and management of Google AdWords/Bing Shopping, Remarketing, Video and Text Ad campaign
  • Possess certifications in Google AdWords, Google Analytics and have a strong background in Google Tag Manager and Analytics tracking code implementation & integration
  • Assist with client reporting including Google Analytics analysis, regular client reporting meetings and ongoing strategy review
  • Drive strategy and growth within existing paid search retainers
  • Fluent in all things related to lead generation, CRM, email marketing, user experience, and engaging digital content
  • Factor SEO and SEM best practices into all project development, social media campaigns and online content
  • Provide support to SEO & SEM teams for all ongoing web projects, including new site launches, page refreshes, site re-designs, and analytics tools implementation and CMS rollouts
  • Ensure that all aspects of web content, meta tags and descriptions, page titles, and canonical URLs are optimized for keyword and semantic content research/strategy
  • Review site information architecture/UX, front-end code, and back-end infrastructure to improve SEO and conversion results
  • Have expert-level understanding Google Webmaster Tools/Search Console, 301 redirects and robots.txt and sitemap.xml files 
     

Email :

  • Responsible for overseeing all aspects of email marketing campaigns, distribution lists, distribution schedules and initiatives
  • Ensure email marketing best practices around deliverability, frequency, measurement and content
  • Experience identifying and interpreting key performance indicators to optimize email messaging, promotional opportunities and campaign design
  • Previous experience managing an email marketing program and using web analytics
  • Email copywriting skills and experience
  • Knowledge of email marketing best practices (e.g. how to improve deliverability, how to best personalize email content, email template design, creating strong calls-to-action, writing compelling subject lines, etc.
  • Take on new email marketing initiatives as the business grows and needs arise
     

Social: 

  • Oversee social media content and management team for all social platforms including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, YouTube, Instagram
  • Manage social media specialists and implement team standards for improved communication, process efficiencies and cross-functional training
  • Manage and assess social media opportunities for current and incoming clients
  • Work collaboratively with clients & internal team to ensure key messaging is consistent with brand campaign strategy and relevant in social media platforms
  • Oversee the administration of paid social advertising strategy across all social media channels
